Best new rock bands of today? Music review on Hey Girl by Rey Fresco.
First you will find out why I think they are in the "best new rock bands" category, and your comments are very welcome in the comments area.
Any one of the other best new rock bands would agree they hit the nail on the head with this one.
The intro is definitely a strong point of the song using bees and their honey as metaphors, clever because it is sweet. The songs transition from intro to the chorus is very powerful, an ingredient you would expect from one of the best new rock bands around.
As for the lyrics in this flowing tune, they are truly just as tasty and meaningful. Not only does Roger has a truly amazing voice, but when he gives it to us, BOY does he give it good.
This band goes above and beyond in the next part which is by Xoc on the raquinta, gosh, what IS a raquinta you may ask? Google it, its quite amazing.
Often the percussion session is quite string by Jenkins, but he humbly gives a background simple beat to add focus to the lyrics and other instruments. The bassist also allows the others the front row, you can spot it, but just the right amount. If you listen closely you can see the magic behind the mixing engine and even catch some trumpets and other horns. All together these instrument flow and mend together uniquely and powerfully. Clearly defining them as one of the best new rock bands.
Here is some words from the band on Hey Girl:
A love anthem about mother earth and her seed bearing plants. "Hey girl" is a metaphor for mother earth, and we give praises to God for allowing mother earth to grace and bestow us with all of her gifts.
This is one of those songs I could leave on repeat for 30 minutes.
In conclusion I really have nothing bad to say about this piece, it is put together beautifully and produced pretty damn well. Again, what do you expect from the list of the best new rock bands.
In all honesty, I understand its hard for you to agree on Rey Fresco being in the "best new rock bands" category without hearing it.
Here is some more goods on one of the best new rock bands: Check em' out soon while they are still an upcoming band, check out their site or their entire album at itunes. After hearing it, you'll agree, this is one of the best new rock bands.
